I’m a Barcelona-based travel and food writer and photographer \u2014 and, before that, a criminal lawyer and academic researcher for more than a decade. I made the switch because I wanted my working life built around what I was already doing anyway: traveling, eating, photographing, and asking too many questions about the places I visit.<\/p>

I live just outside Barcelona with my partner, our two sons, 8,924 Lego bricks, and 63 houseplants (both running counts). After nine years in Spain -helped along by a school holiday calendar that seems designed for people like me \u2014 I’ve built my work around Spain’s food culture, design, and everyday life, with an eye for the people and quiet details that reveal how a place really feels.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

About my work<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

My work focuses on places with character: independent restaurants, boutique hotels, local markets, creative businesses, artists, and craftspeople. I’m especially interested in thoughtful travel, local food culture, sustainability, and the complex relationship between beauty, tourism, and real life.<\/p>

My legal background still shapes how I report: I research carefully, ask precise questions, look for context, and try to tell stories that hold up to scrutiny. Photography remains part of that practice \u2014 from editorial travel work to product, fashion, and interior photography for clients \u2014 but always in service of the story.<\/p>

This blog is where the same interests take a more personal voice. I’m a vegetarian in a culinarily mixed family – my partner is Argentine, and our two children’s enthusiasm for food depends largely on the absence of anything green. I write here about travel through food, art, design, local culture, small alleyways, beautiful places to stay, and views worth slowing down for.<\/p>
